You stay in the driver’s seat while we provide collaborative support alongside you. Our approach is practical and efficient, built on trust, transparency, and genuine care for each person’s mental health journey. We help you make every NDIS dollar count through clear planning, steady communication, and actions that match your goals.

Our story
Riverland Support Services is led by Amanda O’Leary, sole owner with 17 support staff of varying qualifications. With 15+ years of experience across community services and mental health, Amanda created services that are calm, efficient, and easy to use. Training includes Certificate IV in Mental Health and ongoing learning that strengthens our mental health awareness approach. We understand that recovery is not linear and adjust support accordingly, so progress continues at a pace that feels safe.
Our Values

Respect
Your preferences, privacy, and dignity guide every session.

Clarity
We explain options in plain English and confirm the next step so you always know what will happen next.

Consistency
Small actions turn into steady habits with predictable check-ins and a simple rhythm to the week.

Collaboration
We work collaboratively with you and your support team, so everyone pulls in the same direction.

Efficiency
We plan carefully and make every NDIS dollar count without losing compassion.

Mental health awareness
Specialised training and experience with psychosocial disabilities inform how we listen, plan, and adjust supports.

How we work with you
Initial contact and understanding your needs
You share what matters, what already helps, and what feels hard right now. We listen, note preferences for privacy and pacing, and outline first steps in plain English. It gives you a calm starting point and a time for the next check-in.
Planning and NDIS alignment
You want a plan that works in daily life, not just on paper. We map goals to supports, confirm how services will run, and plan check-ins that fit your week. It keeps appointments purposeful and helps you use funding with confidence.
Service agreement and setup
You need simple arrangements with clear roles. We prepare an easy-to-read agreement, confirm reporting, and set times and locations that suit you. This removes confusion so services can start smoothly.
Delivering supports
You receive help at home, in the community, and at appointments. We connect appropriate service providers, practice strategies in real settings through one-on-one coaching when needed and provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities with a mental health focus. This integrated approach addresses practical daily living needs and underlying mental health challenges in a single, supportive plan.
Ongoing review and goal tracking
You want to see what is working. We keep short notes linked to goals, follow up with providers promptly, and adjust when needs change. It makes reviews calmer and your next steps clearer.
Credentials and quality
Our work follows the NDIS Code of Conduct and quality standards. Employees are trained and supported through supervision and continuing learning. Agreements and reporting are explained in plain English, and we welcome feedback to help us improve our services. Information flows between providers with your consent, so support feels joined up and consistent.
Accessibility and inclusivity
Support is inclusive and guided by your preferences. We can adjust communication style, provide written summaries, arrange quieter times and settings, and work with interpreters when needed. Sessions can be planned to suit sensory needs and privacy, and your feedback helps us improve over time.
Service areas
Services are available across Waikerie, Loxton, Loxton North, Barmera, Berri, Renmark, and Paringa. Support can be provided in the home, in the community, or at appointments, with travel and timing planned so your week stays predictable.
Community and partnerships
People often hear about us through support coordinators, mental health professionals, word of mouth, NDIS portals, and local community organisations. We value those relationships and keep communication friendly and timely, so everyone is clear on progress and next steps.
